Dejaone - Based on my working knowledge of search engine technology, I'd have to strongly disagree with that statement. For starters, if you were right, Yahoo!, MSN & Teoma would all have filters similiar to the sandbox, the sandbox would have been noticed as a factor prior to March of 2004, and new pages on existing sites would also rank poorly. However, as we know, these are all false.

Realtime processing of new indexed content is not a strenuous activity for the SEs - the white papers from TREC, SIGIR and other research conferences show difficulties in topic analysis, text quality analysis and topic-level community identification much more than anything else.

I am still in the sandbox for my new sites (8 and 6 months old) and my 2-year-old site is also nowhere to be seen in the google SERPS since Feb 05.

When I changed my contact info my site disappeared. It has been 2 or 3 days now since that. your point of the sandbox thing and it is not only starting from the date of submission but any changes to domain info will attract a new sandbox period is absolutely right.

Yep. this was pointed out by Mjewel. Google considers whois change as ownership change and thus again put you in to sbox.

One of my projects is 4 months now in the sandbox.

I am ranking in #10 for allinanchor with G in a very competitive and lucrative keyword for allinanchor. And I am ranking in #5 for allititle.. However I am not sure how long will it take to get me out of the sb. I just hope that I manage to get out of the sandbox asap to make some money and cover the expenses I made with the seo.

And btw I dont seem to rank that well in MSN and Yahoo. Its only Google. Is this concerning ? What do you think?
