    How long will it take for google to index me??

    I've had a domain and to my surprise its ranked about #5 on yahoo.

    But when I do site:domainname.com google knows nothing.

    How can I tell if it is banned?

    I tried one tester and it said it was likely banned, but that was a vague answer..

    You have actually submitted it to google?
    Have you submitted a sitemap to google?
    How long has it been since you did either of the first 2?

    I bought a brand new domain 8 days ago, it currently has 200 pages of content and is gets 400 - 800UV daily with little advertising, google has only indexed 8 of my pages, the process takes time, the more you update, the more often you let google know youve updated, the faster they will index you and your newly added pages.

    I posted a new site in my DP signature - in an hour it appeared in Google when I did a search for its name (it didn't appear before). I did not submit my site using the Google submit.

    There are some meta info about how often you want the page to be indexed.
    <meta name = "Robots" content = "All">
    <meta name = "revisit-after" content = "1 Days">

    Create google site map and start link building for site and let google do his work. It is not good to direct submit site to search engine. google will get your link from good quality site in which you have submitted your site.

    Normally for the quality website usually it would take 4 to 8 weeks in indexing,
    If you can't get indexed you should have to revised your SEO,

    Generally 6 to 8 weeks is accurate for google, but if you want to get indexed much quicker you need to start building a link campaign. Start by looking at your broadest keyword term associated with your niche and search on google, look at the PR of each site, if you can secure a link from at least a PR6 or a PR7 website it is possible to get indexed in a matter of days not weeks.

    I dont suggest submitting your site to Google unless you want to wait longer.. thats what I have read anyway. The best way to get indexed is from backlinks to your site.. also the higher the backlink that points to your site the quicker it will get indexed. Its good if you have a friend with a page with PR and put your link up until its indexed. For my blog it only took 10 days to get indexed.

    if you really want to get indexed in a short span of time, you gotta do link building -gather one-way links (quality links are much better)

    Depend on competition level of a particular keyword. Start from 1 day to 1 year.
