    Hi,

I have recently opened a website, its been online since the 23rd October.

It is going quite well and am now averaging between 1000-2000 uniques per day.

My previous website, was getting between 3-6 hundred and gained a pagerank of around 5. Now I know it was online for far longer.

My question is how long I should expect before recieving a PageRank?

Also, would it be harder to gain a pagerank in a very saturated website type? For example myspace resource sites? I dont quite understand how it works.

    Any help is great :)

    Thanks,
    Dean

The only thing you should do is to build backlinks for it.
Google usually takes 3~4 months to update PR,so your site will get some PR around the New Year Day if you have quite a few backlinks.

@Thiagoo: I have created a Myspace resource website (in my sig) ... that is easy to use, has quality content and does spam the user with popups. The thing with Myspace sites is that you continually get backlinks from people who use your content and therefore you can fairly easily grow your site.

@Richi_Ni: Thanks, I have bought a couple of links on some big sites. But do they need to be permanent? I cant afford to continually advertise on them currently so they will be on for a week off for the next etc.

Also will it matter whether the other websites are in the same category as mine? Myspace? ... Would be equally useful to have a link on a PR7 Car website as a PR7 Myspace site?

Thanks for the help so far.

Permanent would be perfect..But if you want to get some PR in the next pr update, you should buy them for at least 2 months or so.I'd recommend you buy some links in paid directories, most of them have good pr and you could get a permanent listing for a little fee.

    Can you reccomend any directories?

Can anyone else confirm this is good idea? I have read that directories have too many outbound links? Is this true?

    Thanks,
    Dean
