how long to be ranked in SERPS

Hi i have a new forum answerspots.com I have been trying to build backlinks. My keywords i've been using are forum, forums, General Chat. I was wondering how long it takes to be ranked for these keywords in serps pos? will it be next page rank update in january or febuary? or will it happen sooner then that. can anyone tell me if i'm ranked at all in those keywords? Thanks for all the interest any info will be valued!!

 

What kind of rank do you mean?

'forum' and 'forums' are much too generic and competitive and you won't rank for them in your lifetime.
General Chat - doable with a year or so of genuine links - i.e not directories, or bookmarking sites.

 

ya i been doing blog commenting and forum commenting to get backlinks manually takes a lot of work all do follow so hopefully get backlinks on the next pr update so far getting about 2-5 members a day to sign up real not fake profiles and i delete the spammers

 

I'd suggest using more specific keywords, the ones you're using are too general.

 

That is depend upon your keywords competition over the search engines!
