From the day you made your first web site or from the day you decided to earn money on the web. How long time did it take for you from to make a living from it? And no bragging please, be honest.

it takes a lot of time, a website gain pr and traffic in 6-8 months, if all is done with out investion money!
since it's your learning phase you take more time, learn and do it slowly. probably you may fail to be a winner with your first site.

slowly you start to earn, but then making a living is much big term, if your entire life deponds on the web, you got to wait for atleast one year, to find out every thing that you are doing on the internet is stable or not.

let me think, i have some websites, pr4,3, etc, but then it is a long way to go, not really that easy!:)

I could just scrape by with what I earn from my sites - it's about 1 year & 3 months after I put up my first Adsense ad.

As much as I dislike it, I still rely on freelancing to pay for the nice stuff.

The internet has grown up and developed with a lot of us so there wasn't always the ability to earn full time straight away, no adsense, limited affiliate opportunities, I was a few years but starting today all the tools are there to do it much quicker.

It took me around 3 months. I think that's good enough considering that this is only a part time job. :D

Great, good luck. I wish I was living in a low cost land

Makes me think of another thing. Think about how much money we would all loose if the charity organizations decided to buy computers and teach the common african man to build sites and use adsense. The web economy word turn totally sending enormous streams of money to Africa instead of the US and Europe. I think that would have been great. I am working on a small plan presenting it for my government doing just that. They have to pay me a fat salary of course.:D
