For some reason I just can't get traffic to my blog and it is more than 8 months old. Getting traffic is insanely hard for me. What am I doing wrong lol
What are the some reasons? Its purely depends on your content & how you are presenting, quality, worth & its useful to user or not, if you covered all these surely you will get good amount of traffic.
Jopsons is right. If you have unique, quality, useful content then the traffic should start coming in. When you've got great content people will want to share it which will help you develop links naturally. Until then be sure to be telling people about your site and your content on social media. Use social bookmarking to share your great content as well. Contact some relevant sites and let them know about your website.
As long as it takes, my friend. Make sure you have unique & original content that people will read/share, update it frequently, entice people to comment on your topics, promote your blog on social media services. Cover well discussed and thought-provoking topics that make readers want to continue reading/talking about it. I'll tell you it's definitely not an instant, overnight thing, unless you end up being very lucky!
The thing is not what you are doing wrong. Its what you are doing to get traffic? Just posting things is not enough to get traffic to your blog my friend. Build a fanpage, a twitter page, a youtube channel and promote it everywhere. Use forums etc.etc. Hard work will bring results
Maybe you should refer to the post you wrote on your blog .....................http://www.myonlineincomejourney.com/1/post/2013/08/more-content-more-traffic.html It would seem you are educating your readers that More content = More traffic, maybe practice what you preach?
Content quality is one thing, niche is other thing. The amount of investment you put will be a third question to you.
You can only add your signature if you have 3 "likes" in this forum. You can gain likes by replying to other questions etc etc
100 unique visitors should take at least 3 months. Just like jamesbrands said, practice what you preach! If you can write 40 "Keyword Rich" articles on your blog per month then at least 8 posts should rank high in search engines I have a blog with no backlinks and I didn't promote it at all and it has more than 100 posts and all the traffic that comes in there is just organic traffic. But my only problem was that when I stopped updating it with fresh content the rankings drop till I got 1 PR5 and 1 PR7 backlinks and the rankings just sky rocketed. Even for all the other keywords I never even think I could rank for. So practice what you preach. It works. But make sure your content is compelling and worth sharing.
Well it's hard to say with very little details. Do you post to it often, have you builr backlinks, what have you actually done to drive the traffic?
Depends on your niche/market too. Who is your target audience? Different audience may benefit from certain marketing strategies over others.
Do your keyword research before making your posts otherwise you will be fiddling around in the dark and wondering why no traffic is coming. Optimise the title and body with the keywords. Use them in the tags also. Share your posts in your social media accounts also.
Use good keywords that appeal to your niche audience. You want to try and stay away from the ones everyone is already using, Try to think outside the box friend.
