how long should i wait for serps changes after i got a PR6+ link

    i have got a backlink from a PR6+ sites.
    all my compititors are PR4 sites.
    my question is
    how long should i wait for serps changes or updates after i got thats links???

    if the link was relevant.. then all i can say is "soon" :), if the link was totally irrelevant then u may even not get any improvement at all, (but let's hope that it will help).

    From hours to several days. These are factors that only Google knows. But if the SEO work well, eventually reaching results.

    For example, if your backlinks come from Trust page, you will index soon.

    Trust page for example is Dmoz, CNN, BBC.co.uk,....

    the site you got your link on, pursuing pr instead of relevancy is the biggest reason why we get those "why doesn't my website rank well in Google" questions here in Digitalpoint.

    do you mean that, if i got a link from irrelevant site i well earn PR but not good serps.and if i got my link in relevant site i will get both PR and good serps??

    If your site is based on snowblowers, and you got a link from an arcade site... that would be considered irrelevant. It may help your PR, but may bring little increase to your serps.

    it always depend on the relevancy and quality of you link to a certain website. better quality and related to your website the better and the higher you will get rank in serp.
