    I recently arranged 2 PR5 and 2 PR6 (14 days ago)
one of the PR6 links is still not showing in 3 seperate backlinks checkers
the others showed within 5-6 days
How long should i wait and is this unusual ??

If you are talking about google backlinks, it may never show. Google only shows a sample of backlinks.

Just go to the sites from which you got the links and see if they are indeed on those sites. If they are on a page on those sites, you might want to click the "View Source" in your browser's View menu and search for a nofollow link. It's always possible you may have gotten a link from a website whose webmaster slipped in a nofollow.

If the links are posted on those sites and there is no nofollow, just be patient. The backlinks will show up in time. Perhaps the page on which those links appear hasn't been crawled in a while.

Enter the URL of the page that your link is on in google.... then check the cache and see when it was last cached and if your site appears on the cached version

    Thanks for input
my concern is as its a PR6 its costly and I thought as a PR6 it would get crawled very frequently

    one more question please

the search term in the anchor text of this PR6 link has moved from not in first 1000 to no 87 on google
the reason I am concerned about this link not showing is i am trying to determine whether it has contibuted to the position no 87 or when it kicks in will it lift it more. this is the only way i can see of determining how many links i need to get the no1 spot
So should i assume its kicked in or wait ???

Most link checkers (including our SEO PRO checker) use yahoo's API. Yahoo indexes pages independently from google.

Google may well have indexed the page, but not yahoo yet. Unfortunately, it's not possible to base link checkers on google's API, as the only show a fraction of actual links.

ONE way that you can effectively check if google has actually indexed your link is so sign up for a Google Webmaster Tools account. They show all indexed links there.
