How long new sites need to get ranked ? I am having a site which is three months old and I am having good ranking for less competitive keywords. But what about high ?
for high ranking keywords you need LINKS to your website that includes the keyword in their description. work on that by checking the top results website of the keyword you wish and see who links to them and try to market your website there. long tail keywords are great for niches but i guess for you it is not enough.

False. I got ranked in Google within a couple of days, and had 1,000 or so hits from Google within the first month of it being up. It just depends on what you know and how you use it. It would certainly never take 6 months, even without marketing of any type. Just content alone would be enough for a 6-month period.

depends on much you work on it and how competitive they are really, I usually say it will take me 1 month to get 300 backlinks so if the first site has 1500 BL then maybe 4-5 months.
he is right, SE need 5 to 6 months and also if you want top rank on high traffic keywords you need to optimize perfectly on those keywords. your site may be optimized on law competition KWS. target high competition kws for ranking and more traffic. and finally, bookmarking and forum is the best way for traffic.
