How long must a Twitter account be inactive before Twitter deletes it?

Hi all;

If you create a Twitter account but don't use it for awhile, how long will it be before Twitter deletes it? And how often do you have to use the Twitter account in order to keep it active?

I don't really know but I'd guess it's probably around 2-3 months. Long enoguh for them to think it's a spam (bot) account at least.

 

Twitter doesn't delete accounts that are inactive for years but I read somewhere that they plan to do so in the future. But only god knows when it will happen and who will be allowed to take these - usually very good - usernames.

 

Twitter accounts are only deleted for inactivity if they are deactivated. Once deactivated, they are deleted after 30 days of inactivity (or basically not reactivating after 30 days).

Twitter doesn't really delete accounts however if you deactivate your account you can reactivate within 30 days if you don't then your account will be permanently deleted.

 

I dont think Twitter deletes inactive accounts
