How long more before decent traffic?

    Recently created my web site. Sumbitted to 100 link directories and written to several article directories already.

    How long more before I can see some decent traffic? Or is my web design that off-putting?

    You are the only person who can answer that question because you are the one whose doing optimization on your site. 100 Directory submissions doesn't mean huge traffic, in the first place most of the directories require months for review.

    I suggest you to do social bookmarking and social media optimization if you are after traffic.

    Keep submitting to directories, article directories, forum posts, etc. and you'll start seeing some long tail searches within a month. If your content is good you'll get some "real" links from other websites. These links will boost you for more competitive terms and the process continues. Get good content and start link building. If your site is any good you'll be pretty happy within six months.
