People always ask stupid questions like "How much does everybody make?". I am using adsense for the first time ever this week and I have already seen atleast 5-10 threads on this, but I was really wondering this... How long did it take you from the time you made your site and added adsense to the first click you received ? and how long did it take you to reach $10 or more ? thanks (I am working on 2 blogs and a website, I receive up to 500 views per day already but no clicks whatsoever, suppose I'll just be patient and learn more about SEO and add content )
It depends with the niche and ad placement. Mine varied from 1 week to 1 month for getting my first click.
Well I started with my own domain and everything, after 3 months no luck, now at like the 4th or 5th month of trying to make money with adsense I'm just using blogspot blogs and trying new techniques, basically learning, but after a week of each blog I'm actually getting subscribers and clicks.. I'm getting there.. I think once you know what your doing it's easy, it's just learning from experience that's working the best for me.
yea but getting good traffic has been a problem for me. I've tried to learn good ways of SEO but so far all I really know to do is add good content, use good meta tags, and be patient. any tips on basic things you did to increase traffic ?
What I want to know is if you just started, how you got to 500 views per day already? Or did you mean you just added Adsense recently? To answer your question, it took me a week or two before anyone clicked on my ads, but I had much less traffic. And it took me 3 months? before I was over $10.
well I meant 500 views total between the blog and the site. the site is a gaming directory which is getting around 100-200 a day (3 days old). the blog is a blog over an online game I played so through spreading word of it in that game I managed to get a decent amount of views per day.
Earning from adsense during the beginning may be frustrating especially when you don't know how to get quality traffic... It may even take months to reach the first $10 goal.
I was working on websites well before I knew about adsense, so I was getting tons of traffic. When I heard about adsense, I added it to my sites, a few visitors that same day complained but then I got tons of clicks since it was new to everyone on my sites. I say work on your site before adding adsense, but thats just me. Good Luck
For me also as the main problem on how to get more traffics. I plan to put adsense on my blogs and website but the traffic on them still very low, and I decide to wait till get traffics..and learn how to build more traffics. My blogs niche is : shopping reference, and the website as online wholesaler handicarft products Please give advises. Thanks
To answer your original questions: My first adsense blog I started on blogspot, and it took a week to get my first click. It took about a month after that first click to earn $10. I was getting 50-60 visitors a day, a lot coming from ezine articles and social bookmarks, although the organic search engine traffic started to grow and dominate by the end of the month. My ad placement was pretty poor at this point, as I was still a noob and didn't really know what I was doing. Don't worry too much about it at this point - just read as much as you can about SEO, do some ad testing, write great content and do as much backlinking as you can. Then the clicks will come...
Took me 4 days on one blog to get my click. Just gotta punch out good content and then punch like hell to get good links
Hi,,,,,CLS1321!! sometimes,You have to wait for earning a handsome income from adsense... Bcz in iniitial stages u see very low traffic on your blog... it took me 5 days to get my 1st click. It also depends on your ad placement n marketing techniques which you use to promote ur blogs....
It depends on how good you are. Some people get their first check in one month but some not even achieve $100 in one year
I had an Adsense account for ages before I reached $10. I have to admit that to start with I really didn't have a clue about keywords and traffic. I would just put a site up and pray I'd get some visitors. After learning all about keywords and SEO it took me less than a week to hit $10!
Same with me . I just thinking that I will get dollar just by placing the ads and praying, hope someone will click it. I need one month before got my 1st click
