How Long it Takes ???

    how long it takes in getting directory approval from FREE DIRECTORY. I have submitted my domain to nearly 50 FREE DIRECTORIES but no Approval / Rejection mail since last 1 week, I am really confused. Pls Help

    Usually when submitting to free directories - you wait - and wait - then you wait some more - then when the year is approaching 3000 you MAY or MAY NOT GUARANTEED get approval

    It depends and it might vary quite a lot.
    Most of the time submitting to old directories takes more time to get approved than submitting to brand new directories.
    See the waiting queue if they show it. When you see a few thousand submissions waiting to get approved you can pretty much skip this directory.

    My opinion that free directory submission on international websites is dead - a lot of free dirs are unmaintained those days
    Try local directories - I have a great experience and approval rate at 2 - 3 days in my Country

    Just submit and forget about it. Not all free directory owners review links, and when they do it takes ages.

    I think you may have not submitted to good directories..usually it takes 2-20 days for approval but good ,niche directories approve your valid site with in a week.

    I run My Directory Live, and it is gets about 200+ new links a day. If I don't stay on top of approvals, I get a wicked backlog that effects the quality of the links that I approve. That is why I approve links almost every day. It keeps submitters happy and seems to be part of the success of the directory. Currently, it has a PR4 and Alexa of 54k.

    Just my $0.02, hope it helps.
