When a person visits a content site such as techcrunch, entrepeneur.com, livestrong, they know they all have a large online presence due to the amount of articles and pages. How much quality articles would it take to appear large to your visitors. My site only has about 50 pages of content and gets an average of 1000 visits a day. How much more content would I need to seem large 100s,1000s ? I just want my site to appear large before i start advertising, so that when people visit they are likely to bookmark and like the site.
No one (maybe just time) can tell you exactly how long it will take for your site to become "big" or how many articles. Depends on lots of factors , such as website niche , competition , articles originality , quality and much more. Let's say 1000 pages will look ok for me.
There is no time limit on Website success. There are a number of factors. Daily readers, quality of content, links pointing to you site, links going out of your site, social media links pointing to your site... I have an authority blog ranked in the top 500 in the world which I use to build authority to my other sites... Here's a video i shot on how I use it If you want more info on this, click my signature link...
Wow, 1000 visits a day for only 50 pages of content is fantastic. I think you should be doing something good, either very good SEO or keyword selection. Just keep going at it, I am sure you can do it. Also if you want it to appear large, then you should build an online social media presence, sometimes if visitors see several thousand twitter followers or facebook likes, they will automatically assume it is a pretty large site
