Can someone tell me the reasonable amount of time it takes to transfer a domain from one registrar to another? I use name.com and they say within 6 days or less after submitting the EPP code and the current domain owner confirms via email..

It is from 10 minutes to 7 days - depends upon loosing regisrar :)
Big regitrars like GoDaddy, Enom, NetworkSolutions takes around 5/7 days. DirectI takes 5/6 hours :D

Directi takes 5 days. I had initiated a transfer from Directi to Name.com on March 3rd. I got a mail from the current registrar saying only after March 8th the transfer will be complete.
