I submitted my two blogs to DMOZ as well, still waiting to be included or rejected. Luckily it's only been about two weeks now.
I have submitted my blog over a year ago.. Never got any respond.. I think the category where I submitted my site didn't have any editor.. Or maybe the editor sleeping or lazy..
Stop waiting and just live your life as best you can. Someday you may notice you are listed, but there is really no way to know if it was due to your submission or if some random editor (with permissions) happened across your site by some other means... then again, there is also no way to know if your site was rejected, hence my advice on stopping the wait
I think the category where I submitted my site didn't have any editor.. Or maybe the editor sleeping or lazy.. There is an easy solution, perhaps you could be less lazy and spend your spare time editing instead of whining that someone who gives up spare time for nothing is lazy.
I guess it would have been better if you were sent the details why your site is rejected.... So that we can work on it.. As they review our site... it shouldn't be difficult for them I guess..
Essentially, websites are declined for one of only three reasons. They're built around a business model that we don't want to list (MFA, drop ship, affiliate doorway etc). They're related to other websites from the same stable. They don't work, are under construction, or are excessively user hostile. I would have thought that most website owners would already know which of the above applies to them (apart from the user hostility maybe). What could we tell them that they don't already know? Further, websites declined a listing for the first two reasons probably can't be 'worked on' to make them acceptable anyway. If a website owner is told that his website has been declined, all he's going to do is re-suggest it immediately -something we'd prefer he didn't do in most cases.
I submitted my site 8 months ago but it wasn't listed. I just resubmitted again last night, let's see what happens this time. I keep my fingers crossed.
