How long it takes for the links to get indexed and give some effect?

My site is very new and I started to backlink it about 8-10 days ago, mainly with blog comments and FreeTraffic System. It was on page 19 few days ago and then dissapeared. It is still indexed but can't be found anywhere... My question is why it's gone, why the links are not shoen in th backlink checker and when the site will be back?

My new site (had it about a month now) at first was around 197 in google rankins for a highly competive keyword, and then dissapeared for almost a week, it then reappeared at rank 37 and since it keeps dissapearing and reappearing... I've been slowly building backlinks so it much just be a Google dance and you seem to be seeing the same thing as what happened to me... As long as your site is still indexed you have nothing to worry about and your site will reappear somewhere along the line and most likely at a higher rank as long as you keep building your backlinks! Just don't give up, the hard work will pay off!

Just because your links exist, there is no reason why you should assume that any search engine will automatically index the page there are on - certainly for commenting on low PR blogs, or directories, profile pages etc, they may take months to get crawled - if ever.

Depends on the pages activity and updates. If pages of web sites and blogs where you have submitted back links are active and having good online reputations and Google's eye balls then it takes short time to be index otherwise may goes to sandbox.

Is is like you have been building back links from only blog commenting?? If so there are chances that it will be a spam.. Since if you keep targeting the same kind of keyword for building backlink.. then Google will definitely understand that you are a spammer, so its better to rotate your keywords.

I recently had a problem with a domain that had been banned from Google by a previous owner. I guess you never know what problems you're going to run into :(

It depends. In general, links in some relevant niche and high Alexa rank sites can be indexed more easily.

Usually, new sites will get a temporary love from Google which will help our site to rank high for first few weeks.

Then, it will drop way back down to where it suppose to belong.

I would not depending on commenting links to increase my SERP ranking in Google.

Try guest posting, article directories submission with unique articles, start a blog and post fresh new contents frequently with your targeted keywords scattered in the posts, engage in forum (dofollow forums with a link in signature). Here, I have a list of 50 Dofollow forums from PR1-6 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1964485, this can be a good start. Register and post more forum posts here. Have your targeted keyword anchored with your website link in signatures. You will be able to see your ranking slowly gain up ranks.

There are other factors too like keyword competition, domain age factor, backlinks value, etc. Just keep adding more valuable links (dofollow, anchor keyword) from high quality pages, you will reach top soon.

I believe it depends on the links, but in my practice even good links start working in 2-3 weeks...

Use this site:yoursitename in google and if it shows any links then it is present.

You have to write original posts then only google will index it soon..

I researhed my competitor and all his backlinks are junk - 60% of them come from making profiles on forums without even posting on them after that. Right now 90% of my backlinks come from commenting on very relevant (but also mostly pretty dead although I have few pr3-5 blog posts with my comment) blogs. I also took the forums he has a fake profile on and started to build my own profiles there.
