if your site is new than you have to wait coz google takes time to add new sites to its index and if your site is regularly crawled then sooner or later it will be indexed too..

It all depends upon the size of your website. My website was 950 pages large and it took about a month to index it.

Google Indexes bit slower than Yahoo. MSN is still faster

It is also a good idea to add a blog to your site. Having a frequently updated blog will certainly help you to get indexed more often.

    Update:

My site is n ow indexed. I submit a reinclusion request on 26th October and today my site appears in Google index. I don’t know if this is coincidental or not. Now webmaster tools summary says.

So far only179 pages are indexed.

Because you don't. Submitting to google just makes the process take longer.

One of my blog took 2 days, another took 5 days. Both on blogger. I suggest you do not submit url to google. Googlebot will find your site and index it.

I'm going on a week so far and the only page indexed is my index. Sitemap has been submitted and downloaded by Google twice already. Just have to be patient I guess.

    How's this for weird:

I have a website that is some 4 months old.
Yahoo shows this: Pages (2,792) | Inlinks (3,629)
It's currently PR2(inaccurate?) and ranks 275k'ish on Alexa
I have several PR4 links, and 2 PR5 links (that I know of)
I use urls that should be easy to follow such as /reviews/category/product/
Googlebot is literaly camping my website: Googlebot 7460+21
And I rank decently for my targeted search terms.

    primary:
    Engine Position
    Google 34
    MSN 64

    secondary:
    Engine Position
    Google 38
    MSN 14

    tertiary:
    Engine Position
    Google 54
    MSN 53

Still all I get from a site: and link: is my main page and some site which doesn't even link anymore.

I saw a blog that claimed that their site is indexed in 1 day by posting to digg and other social networking site because the author said that Google crawled this website frequently.
