How long for YPN to approve new accounts?

I use Adsense on all my sites but after hearing so many horror stories of them unfairly terminating accounts, I figured I better open up a YPN account for backup. I signed up last week but have not heard anything from them. How long do they take to approve? The site I listed on my application is a great site in the Alexa top 100k.

If you are outside USA, Don't ever dream to be YPN Publisher, YPN is only for US Resident.

I'm in the US born and raised and my sites are all English geared towards American audience. So any idea why there is such a delay? It's been almost 2 weeks now

Yes I am in the same boat, currently an American and have been my entire life. I applied for my website (in English and hosted in American servers) with Y! Publisher Network about 2 days ago. I am hoping I will not be waiting 2 weeks and still not hear a reply, Yahoo! really needs to be a but more professional if they're going to run an ad network.

I've heard that it could take a few weeks (3 weeks) until you will get approval. I can't even register right now and I'm from the US. They might be having some problems with a bunch of Adsense publishers jumping ship and switching to YPN. I'm not sure though but it's just a thought.

i have been trying to get into YPN for nearly 2 years. No luck. I am in the US... and have been my whole life. My sites are all buildt for American audiences, in English, and hosted by American Hosts. I don't know why i haven't been approved. I have applied probably 6-7 times and never hear anything from them again... no acceptance letter, or rejection letter... nothing. I have several different types of site from "thick" content focused afiliate sites to pure content site, with no ads at all.... beats me....

My YPN account was approved in 2 days, but your website must look professional and you also must be a US Resident

Close it. It's gone daddy gone.

    NEVER.

Maybe Bing will come up with an equally lame "Beta".
