How long for new pages to be indexed?

I added about 5 pages to my web site that only has a PR1, according to my stats googlebot has visited about 5-10 times per day, ' google site maps' Summary says my home page is crawled about every 6 days or so.

Anyway back to the question: Any idea when my new pages are likely to be indexed?

Could be a day, could be a week, could be a month.

No one can give you an accurate answer. Sorry :(

If you get one or two deep link to those new pages, it might help get indexed fast.

If you got indexed the homepage, then put the index link on every new page, that will help bots to crawl more easily...

Sad to say, that's the truth. I added a new page in October and put a link to it on my PR5 homepage, which gets crawled often. Well, the new page was not indexed by Google until December! Other more recent pages, in the meantime, were quickly indexed. Who can predict Google?!!!

Check your stats, how often google bots come and how much bandwidth they eat, then you would know when they would update your indexed pages :)

It should be indexed in the next Googlebots visit (around 6 days if the links are placed on the homepage).

It is really difficult to predict but I notice that links added in a page that is often visited by Google are being indexed faster.

What I did with one of my website is to include "what's new" links in all pages (programming required).

With that, most of my pages are being indexed less than a week. I also have Google sitemaps

I've noticed this with a site that I am working on at the moment, also anyone know when the next big backlink update will take place. Yahoo is showing over 100 and google is stuck on 2.

I think it's pretty strange since the site is using for nearly a month has been using Adwords, analytics, sitemap and base. To only have 2 pages indexed is pretty odd.

Please do provide realistic advice. Anyone could say "get a link from Microsoft", but that would not be too realistic.

If the page is linked by a high PR page, it should be indexed pretty fast (a few days at most) but if you add a chain of more than 6 pages not directly linked, then you need several visits from GGbot to make sure all pages are in the index (basically, GG performs short walks in term of deepness when following the links).

Half my pages have been deindexed form one site. I am getting around 30% less traffic daily over the last few days. I thought it might be because of the holiday perios, but I would assume things have got back to normal now as far as the number of people surfing is concerned.

Google Sitemap seems to help a lot. My sites usually get indexed very fast but take so long to start getting some traffic
