Hello, I recently purchased a number of high quality links to my site on PR5-PR6 sites. Most were similarly themed. It's been 4-5 days and none of my SERPs have improved! I've included the search terms I want to rank well for in the anchor text. How long does it generally take to see results from new links? Thanks, Kevin
That depends from many things: - how much your domain is old - how much is difficult the key you are trying to ranking for - the Topic/Language/Geolocation/etc. relationship between your web site and the web sites from which you are linked - the TR of the web sites from which you are linked - etc. IMHO: you have to wait and relax
I agree with kerouac...domain age is a biggie, but it's good that you got related links. I've seen SERPs go up from good backlinking as soon as a week or two weeks after getting the links. YMMV
thanks for the responses my domain is almost a year old and the keywords aren't very competitive. I am ranked 12 for the phrase I am optimizing for and I really want to be on the first page. So does this mean renting a text link for 1 month does no good if it takes 4-5 months to change SERP placement?
That one link needs to remain longer than 1 month. Even if it were to help you before the month is up, you'll loose your ranking after the link expires. Best to continue to pay for your paid links month after month.
Should have purchased these links a couple month ago. It depends on when the search bot crawls that page and see's the link to you, and then when they might apply it to your ranking. It's still possible you might receive the benefit in time, maybe, maybe not.
there's some PR6 blogs, so I imagine they get crawled frequently. The link is already in google's cache for at least one of the sites.
Patience Grasshopper --- Patience - it will indeed take time, and then more patience -- while you're waiting patiently write some more content... good content and then have more patience
I've never seen links taking 4-5 months to benefit? More like about a week or so. Am I doing something wrong?
