Good day all, I have a new site and I submitted my sitemap a few days back to google. The sitemap was approved and in OK status. After a few days though, my site is still not indexed. When I built a couple other sites in wordpress...I used Google XML Sitemaps plugin to create and submit my sitemap. On my other sites, they were indexed within 2-3 hours after creating it. What's going on, why is this taking so long? Anyone else experience the same duration after manual submitting? Also, yahoo is the same. Thanks
blogspot and wordpress pages get indexed really fast because they have really fast crawl rates. Due to the high trust and PR associated with the domain the googlebot comes more often to the sites to crawl through the pages. For a brand new site it could take a few weeks to get completely indexed - I wouldn't worry too much.
thanks all, I have a bunch of pages, it looks to have indexed my forum homepage and the forum calendar page. The forum is only part of my site, I have about 20-30 internal links inlcuding the homepage which I need indexed asap. Does this seem normal to your experiences? I think i'm going to stick to wordpress for now on, the entire site gets indexed in like an hour.
You have the liberty to submit your xml file to the search engines and they too will crawl it sooner but indexing is a major question with search engines. Sometimes, you will be lucky to have all your pages indexed in no time but in other cases, you have to wait. It is a factor purely decided by the search engines. Till such time, we can wait with bated breath
not only you have that question, but most of the web owner if they have new website. it is depend how lucky you are. I said this because I have website that I've never index manualy but after 'FEW' months it is already in search engine..
Ya, I did submited my XML's weeks ago to google and yahoo. Yahoo accepted it but my site doesn't exist in the SE. In google I have the forum main page and a random calendar page indexed..ridiculous. I have tons of pages..I would be happy if even the homepage was indexed for now... I spent months building this site and it would suck to take it down b/c i'm thinking about converting all of the data to wordpress so at least it gets indexed before I die...i'm going to wait until January and then take it down, I really don't want to wait for ever for this to be indexed.
It takes too long if you just submited your sitemap from weböaster tools. Webmaster tools shownig and doing everything very slowly. So I always get backlink from social bookmarking sites but it realy depends on luck about the indexing time
google some time take little bit of time to index your webpage and website but higher pr manual submission will help to index site
Blogs are easy to index with in minutes, hours, or day. you can submit your site to social bookmarking. it's help easy index your site.
I use blogs in almost all my site specially self hosted wordpress, it get indexed within few hours from the built time. Social bookmarking and social interaction website are also good for backlinks.
Why bother manual submission, while you can get indexed quietly fast using link building.. however, a simple link at your signature here in DP will get your website indexed soon
i've had sites get indexed in a day, and others in a month, google takes time for some and not for others. i have found that wordpress sites get indexed faster.
for all the new site googel will take at least 1 week to index. So even if u dont dubmit the article alos u will be indexed
