Hi Guys... How long would you say it takes before Google starts re-ranking your site after it picks up new links? - Let's say they are high trust, authority and related and have all been crawled and indexed. How long does it normally take for these links to pass juice and effect your serp position?
It's depends over the competition. If you're targeting a too competitive keyword then it might take weeks or months and if your keyword is less competitive then you might get results within two or three days once after the links get indexed..
Exact time can't be measured for this. Because ranking depends on many factors like quality of back links(theme based+PR), how old your domain is, how much competition your targeted keyword has and on page optimization of your website.
few factors to affect the ranking - active in forum/blog to create linkback - keyword relevancy - website content - the number of keywords appear in content
That is indeed a very good question. Google seems to wait some days or weeks before crediting the full values of the established links online while Yahoo and Bing can be guessed to score their full values as soon as they are found and crawled online. In fact it can be said that one reason why some newly launched websites do not get top Google ranks very fast is because of the new links they have gained which need to remain online for some weeks or even a couple of months. The older links get the better results too would be achieved and no wonder some older domains are very hard to defeat because they have been constantly getting links from trusted sources and some of them have been online for many months and even years. If your website receives some incoming links, try fixing them on their positions because as they get old, your website will gradually experience the juices in ranking improvements, especially on Google pages.
i guess it all depends on the PR. i've had backlinks take up to a month to show in webmaster tools, others take a few days.
if you dont ping them or anything it can take weeks if not months even if you ping them it's not a guaranteed crawl and if it gets crawled it's not a guaranteed index
Ranking wont take effect at sudden instant when you posted. it may take two or three days depending on keywords and competition. If the competition is too slow you may get ranked in one day and if the competition is high there is possibility that you wont get ranked in a month. Be patient and continue working.
I think the amount of backlinks is quite important in order to rank high. Of course the quality is also important.
