How long does your traffic last?

I currently have a site thats getting about 100 visitors a day. Most of my traffic comes through Google search. My question is, will i still get that 100 visitors a day if i stopped updating my site. Let say i stopped updating the site for about 6 months to 1 year. Would the traffic be the same? Thanks

You need to work this out for yourself. Look at your stats. If 99% of your visitors are new (as opposed to returning) it doesn't matter that you don't update your site - this is the first time they visited and they don't know that. Returning visitors probably want something new.

That all depends on your keywords ranking in search engines. If you stop updating the site, it might be possible that the ranking for your keywords will be dropped so as traffic. but sometimes if there is very less competition and your keyword's ranking remains the same, then you will be getting the same traffic.

    Thanks...

I think competition in your niche is also a major factor. If competition is not increasing, you should be able to be very stable in your positioning.

How old is your site? and how many backlinks your site have?

Not sure, but I think your site will drop in google search results if you don't update your site for 1 year.
But incase you keep on building backlinks, then your site will rank the same or even higher.

One of my site is almost 3 years of old, I was getting nice visitors from search engines but suddenly I don't get any visitors from google, even I don't see any pages/links listed at google. Is there any chances that google can drop all of my pages ? (Said on the result from AwStats)

Might be possible that your website is no more indexed in Google...it could be due to if you have not updated your website from a long time or you are using some unethical techniques on your site...:(
