The answer to your questions depends on the quality of the sites where your backlinks are situated.

A link to you on the homepage of a good quality website with lots search engine revisits will be found quickly. If you backlinks are buried on difficult to find pages of rarely visited websites, the backlinks may never regsiter.

From my experience Yahoo seems to find them the quickest, MSN 2nd, Google 3rd but that is likely just that Google doesn't report them as fast but does actually see them.

Okay thanks I'll try the siteexplorer thing. Btw, I only got my backlinks about 3 days ago. Could it be it might take longer than 3 days? =/

Check with the help of yahoo site explorer tool to find the correct status of your page whether crawler has come on your web page or not, Secondly do yahoo search engine submission, yahoo directory, or try to get linking of your website with some directories and website, are listed in yahoo results....

OHHH I figured out the problem. I was using link:website.com instead of link:www.website.com lol. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I really messed up on this one. I didn't know it made a difference =/.

Yahoo is lazy. Google is fast and effective...the traffic from yahoo is minimal if you compare to google. You should focus on G traffic IMo.

yahoo show links faster than G that's why a lot of webmasters use siteexplorer to check their links even they optimized for G

Kencake you must wait more than tree days in the meantime continue with link building that will help you to rank hight :)
