I've added my blogs to 10 sites for like 5 days now, and until now its still not in any of the directories...
If you dont have any decent backlinks pointing to your site, it can take the SEs many weeks to index. The quickest way to get the SE to spider your site is to get a decent link or 2 pointing to it.
Try to get a backlink from high PR and relevant site or blog. You will get indexed in a shorter time.
it can take awhile some times and the others are right most at least the biggest ones will notice you faster if you have lots of back links.
Google directory? You mean get indexed? Normally a few days, either get a couple of decent links as suggested above or submit a sitemap through the Webmaster tools.
Free directories can take 3 days to 3 months according to their popularity. Paid directories usually review a site in 24/48 hours.
For both the cases .. if you are talking about your blog is not added in the directory you submitted OR the directory link is not indexed by search engines.. you need to be patient.. wait for sometime.. the links will be there in Directory and in Search Engines too..
Being accepted on the directory you submitted your blog is all up to the moderator of that directory, assuming you followed all the guidelines. There might be more other submissions on the queue so just wait. Also there is success in numbers so submit to more directories, just avoid bad neighbors.
It depends on the directory. Some directories accept site in less than 5 days and some takes 3-4 months to be accepted.
It usually takes up to 2 weeks... but some directories have 2-4 review time (no guarantee of inclusion).

I think this depends on directory popularity also , few directories are so popular and receive so many new add links daily that moderators can't accept all request at one day . I took one 150 directory submission package 4 days back but till yet only 18 has accepted my link and waiting for other to accept it .
It takes longer for link directories to approve one-way links. If you're applying for reciprocal link, you don't have to wait that long since most link directories prioritize that. However, if you pay for it, you should be able to see it in the shortest time possible.
Anything from instantly to years. In short, it depends on the directory, whether it's human edited or not, and how many submissions are pending.
It typically depends on the owner of the directory. It could be instantly or you might have to wait a long time to get their approval. Good luck.
