You can just do that or site:[your domain name] Both work fine if you're just checking to see if your website is indexed.
I launched one of my sites a little over a week ago. MSN hasn't gotten near me according to my logs/stats. The only SE to check it out is AskJeeves . I guess I will just have to wait it out.
So is there anything I can do to speed up MSN or google indexing my site. Since neither have crawled me, my Coop weight is 0 . Right now it just seems to be I am stuck waiting. I want to get started optimizing but no bots are picking it up.
were there any techniques to getting ask jeeves to pick your site up, i havent been able to get it into mine!!!
No, I have no idea why it picked up the site. I have a few other sites that have been up for almost half a year and AskJeeves _rarely_ has crawled it. Where MSN and Googlebot make frequent visits. Yet I put up this new site, the NEXT day AskJeeves randomly crawls it. But a week later MSN and Googlebot are yet to be seen! Arggg so random! I wish i knew
I've my sites for 2 weeks but see only main page. MSN has been visiting everyday but not seen any other pages. Coolguy
Jared, Add a signature line to your profile in this forum linking to the site you want MSN to find. For Google, just wait.
Its taken about 2 or 3 weeks for my site to be indexed by MSN, and that is the search engine that shows the most backlinks.
my most recent site appeared on first page for most keyword phrases about 1 week after submitting. though i did add it to a whole bunch of directories & link to it from my other sites which probably helped.
MSN is fastest these days its good to submit but rather getting around 5 - 10 links can help you a lot with msn, yahoo and google.
Check your awstats to see if you've actually had ANY robot hits. If not, perhaps they're just not finding you at all. In that case, try to get your link on some other more propagated sites.
MSN is pretty fast. They indexed about half of my entire site in a few days, and I didn't even submit to them. Too bad they barely send me any traffic. I'd say it's about 10 referrals a day.
That's true. They've visited me over 3000 times already, and I don't think they've sent me more than 1% of that in referrals.
I keep seeing URL to 'robots.txt' from MSN and Yahoo many times in a day they have indexed only main page. Does this mean that my site is in sandbox ?
MSN and Yahoo don't have anything nearly as drastic as Google's sandbox (that I've experienced at least). Which site are you trying to get indexed? (we can have a look to see if you're listing/organizing your pages incorrectly etc.)
