It seems msn has been indexing more agressively than Google.

I heard MSN picks up these threads quickly. I have a handful of sites not showing up on any search engines for 2 months :(
Hoping the rumours are true and MSN picks me up from the doldrums.

Got visited by MSN but still not ranked. Looks like there are two different bots rummaging around. Hope some phrases show up.

24 to 48 hours, post a link to it on a site you know msn reads every day, like my forums twice a day, and it is indexed and in serp's within 2 days

Looking at my logs, they seem to do a full site crawl twice monthly as well.

Google seems to index more pages than any other SE in the end, BUT MSN seems to pick up new site faster than any other SE.

Anyone noticed a slowdown in the msn indexing? Launched a new site 3-4 days ago (with a link strategy that should guarantee first place in msn) but msn hasn't picked it up so far..

i agree, MSN picks up your sites lightning fast. even just a signature file in a forum has done the trick for many of my sites.

Time is a big factor in Google and Yahoo in one way or the other, yet time doesn't really seem to be as significant a factor in MSN as in Google and Yahoo.

MSN grab 30,000-40,000 pages each month, but only 316 pages shows by the site:www.sitename.com command at the index. Same things with the Y!.

    What you think about it?

MSN SE is relatively new, so it's kind of hard to say, but I see some consistency in Yahoo. As you acquire more IBL, Yahoo slurp crawls more. Yahoo updates its index every 3 months or so, and that's when new pages are added in its index (though Yahoo makes rolling update of IBL). It's true that Yahoo doesn't index all pages that Yahoo slurp crawls, but it makes steady changes in its index.

Yeap, I think you are right. Y! need more IBL, but I have not any idea what MSN wants from me :)

Main site shows only 316 pages by the site:www.sitename.com command at the index, but site: print.sitename.com (print version for main site's pages) shows 1,535 pages, heh, I'm confused ...

This sounds so cliché but let me state this. As you ...

    1. Acquire more IBL
1.2. IBL to various parts of your website
1.3. IBL from many more different websites
    2. Create original content
2.2. Create content with some keyword density

You'll get more pages indexed in any SE over time.
