How long does it take?

    How long does it take to be put on google's directory. I made my blog last thursday and I don't know how to tell if it is on google directory...If it isn't when will it be?

    Are you asking about the Google Search Index or the Google Directory? The Directory is a clone of DMOZ, so you have to get listed there first.

    If you are talking about Google Search or blogsearch, you have to enable your blog to list (in blogger -> settings) to be listed... You can then check blogsearch.google.com to see if your stuff is there.

    Where did you get this kind of rubbish from or did you just make it up?

    The Google Directory is a clone of DMOZ. Google have not updated it in greater than 6-8 months!, let alone the wait time to get into DMOZ. Why did you claim it takes a few months?

    The Google search index is a different beast.

    Try inserting your site into DMOZ and google directory picks the data from there.

    You can hasten the indexing of your blogspot blog by submitting the atom feed to google through google webmaster tool. You are indexed immediately! :)
