This means that you don't have any quality links to your site... or means nothing if you have apropriate traffic.

If you have enough links, you are going to have to wait until the next pr update to see your site's pr bar.

It just depends on when they update - the fastest I've seen is something like 2 weeks. :D

    Why bother with PR?

It means almost nothing at all.

Yeah, as member earlier said. build quality backlinks that will help you to get higher pr,
and may be in next update google may distribute pr to your website,
Just check your website page strength, it's not much more accurate every time, but for the new websites, it works.
Just click on this link and find your website strength.

Best of luck to you and your website.

But if you are getting good serp's, than pr is worthless.

Dont bother becoming obsessed with Google PR, just place your links wherever you think you can get traffic from, this is far more important than the little green bar on your browser.

You don't get any PR if your not doing quality link building.. Usually, its takes 3 months before PR update but the longest update time is 6 months last year..

I think you have to double your link building for the site, in other to have PR in the next PR update. Good luck.

Google updates it's PR once every three months or there abouts. If you've waited for 5 months, then you should have something more then PR NA (that grey bar). If you have a PR0 then that would likely be the PR you have. And if that is the case, or in any case really, you need to increase the content on your site and get more quality backlinks.

You can not just make a page and expect it to be a PR6 overnight, there is often a lot of work, and the crappier the content the harder it is to get a decent PR, as most if not all of the links to it would be your own doing. Get something worthy of not only reading, but of sharing with friends.

Now do not get me wrong, I'm not saying your site is crappy or anything... just saying you have more work to do if you are expecting any PR at all...

I think a site should have at least ten quality links. Then there can be a trouble with youк links. I mean that if you even have 10 links but they come from sites with low stats it' useless...Check them!

The quality of the backlinks can effect the resulting PR, but in theory yes, that'll work. HOWEVER, PR is not everything. If you spend your money on quality (ORIGINAL) content, and then promote via free sites (directories, article sites, etc) then you'll see that traffic is far better then PR in most (if not all) cases.

Posting your links to related blogs, your sigs in forums, and link exchanging with a few related sites can also help get the word out on your site... but remember, people prefer to link to sites that are worth linking too. If your site is worthy of people sharing, then people will share.
