How Long Does It Take?

How long does it take for Google to de-index pages?
I removed a site from the domain almost a month ago now, but nearly all of the pages that were indexed before are still indexed

 

Usually it takes a few days.

 

Google can de-index pages? Go figure... I thought, when cached, cached for life.

 

It's an option on their site...

 

It can take a long time sometimes. Did you go through the de-indexing instructions? Just removing content from a domain won't remove it from G's index.

ahh, thanks for that link - I just assumed once they didn't find it anymore it was removed

 

i think it takes 5 to 10 days for de-index your site.

i think it's take 10 to 15 days.

 

whenever your site will cache next time your pages will be de-indexed...

 

why dont you tell them by your Google Webmaster account

 

for active sites (update frequently) about a week
for stall sites can take up to 45 days
