How long does it take to register an expired domain name?

    There is a domain name that I want to register and it expired on sep-06-2010. However, I am still not able to register the domain name. My question is, how long until I will be able to register this domain name?

    Thanks. I actually found the domain I want on namejet. Is this site legit. Can I buy the domain for it is actually released by the registrar? Also, buying a domain on namejet will keep the domain age with the domain?
