I have submitted my website to DMOZ and Yahoo Directory in November 2011. I still cant find it listed on the directory. So, I am wondering how long does it take to get listed?

Well, on dmoz is "impossible" it is like a monopoly of some webmasters :p, and in Yahoo, if you pay, I am sure you will IN :)

For most of the sites, it takes forever. But there are exceptions.

I submitted mine in dmoz for more than 2 months. I sure they have visited, but didn't add us.

I would say, it's impossible to be listed. Just forget about it.

Forget Dmoz.. if it happens it will happen. You are better of submiting once and forgeting about it. But domoz listed sites do have value. i recently purchased a dmoz listed site and added just a few backlinks and it immediately moved from PR1 to pr3. Such is the power. For yahoo, you can pay and get listed, it does add value as well.

Yes Foeraff has an excellent point there. Look for Dmoz sites that you can purchase and Dmoz listed sites are valued pretty high. Thnks!

Well, unless you are willing to "bribe" dmoz editors, you can kiss your submission good bye.

I've submitted one of my site almost 3 years ago, not listed yet in dmoz.

DMoz listing is very difficult because it requires to pass all guidelines of dmoz that are very strict. If you get listed in domain then you will get benefit and you will be the lucky one.

Dmoz is almost impossible but if you pay $300 to yahoo they will definitely include your website to their database.

Dmoz take maximunm 3 month to visit your link but if after 3 months you could fing your listing then that means your site is rejected
