Put links to your site in your DP forum signature, put links to a few directories, ask friends for links from their sites, links in social bookmarking - links, links, links ....

I personally have found that, if I give a site 4-5 links, it will get indexed in around 2 weeks.

I built a WordPress blog late last night, put up a Squidoo lens, Hubpage, eHow article all with links, put up Adsense as well as around 10 directory submissions, and I just checked 5 minutes ago and it was indexed. That is around 18 hours from when I registered it.

I think adding Adsense is the best way to get indexed quickly.

Submit to Digg, Stumble Upon and other Social Bookmarking sites and it should be indexed within a day!

    hey dear,

well you can get your website indexed within minutes, hours as well....the fact is that how much you work on it.

Do try to open a google webmasters account and submit a well updated sitemap into this and also select the crawler time visit on your website.,,

    or

try to get as many backlinks through some good article directories...or through some good fourms......

at this point of time there will be no link exchange posible for your website as you are not even in search engines...

so try the above two methods to get your website indexed.....if at last there is no way you are getting success then submit it directly to google...

By far the most fast way to index my sites is by submit an article, with link to my site, in article directory. Another way is to obtain a link from page with good pr4 for a week or two. Your site will be indexed an days.

I got indexed in 5 minutes. Seems like Google loves me ;) Also, it always gives me PR2 or PR3 from start when a PR update occurs.

It's that same old question "How long is a piece of string", just be patient, make yourself busy submitting links and blogging and eventually they will come. Also sign up to google analytics, googlebase and adwords, they seem to like that .

It depends on how you approach getting listed. If you submit sitemap this will help you get listed faster. plus posting in forums and adding sigs will help.

I Have been really lucky with indexing .
I have worked on 4 blogs so far and have got them all indexed within a day on google....
Submit the site to http://www.google.com/addurl/ like some one suggested before and then try making as many high value back links as possible...
    Then wait and watch....

Pinging and bookmarking both work well in my experience. You can ping any website, not just a blog. Go create an account at mister-wong.com and save a few interesting news stories or other sites and then just bookmark your own site, too. That usually gets my new sites indexed within a day or two.

If it is point of only indexing in search engines, it can get index in couple of days, submit your xml sitemap to Google webmaster tools.
