How long does it take to get Adsense approved?

I opened an account and added my URL to my site over a week ago and it still says 'pending review' when i go to adsense. I also have an alert because i havent added banking info for payment yet because i am lazy. would that be a reason?

Its a 2 part process...

Sounds like the first part has been approved... if you can see the RED ALERT for needing to add your banking information.

Now you need to add the adsense code to your site.

It varies on what country you are signing up from, but usually it takes less then one week.

 

Oh. I thought it meant I had to wait while it was being reviewed before I added code to website

 

Adding the code is part of the review process...

If you can login and see that red alert, you are pre-approved, per say...

Now you must add the code so that they can crawl your site and display the correct ads..

No one can say how many days take for the approval but it is based on your country and IP also.

 

It also depends on the workload on their side. If the delay takes longer, try to drop them a few lines and they will definitely hasten the process or give you a fair feedback.

 

Maximum of 4 weaks.

 

I had mine done in 2010 it took less than a week, maybe things ahve changed
