I set up a blog about 3 months ago and have around 200 backlinks so far.

I paid for a service for 500 links ranging from PR3 - 6 and haven't got a PR rank yet. I have a elexa rank but no PR yet..

As this is my first site I don't know what to expect on the PR scale.

What should i expect to happen and when will i get a PR and what is the normal PR rank to expect with this linking..

Would really appreciate some great advice..

    Thanks

    :D

I would say that the 3 month mark would be right about there... I am sure that you just missed it by a hair. The next update is in another 3 months, you have a little while to wait. Goodluck with the PR.

You should have something because Google just updated.

    Gray bar= not ranked yet.
    White bar= no pr.

This is exactly the reason why I advise people to submit to the newest/lowest PR directories they can find.

In most cases, free submissions to high PR directories wait months to be reviewed. Everyone else is chasing PR, so these high PR directories get bombed with free submissions.

Take a look at the list in my signature. If you have time, start manually submitting to free directories. I would start with the newest directory first, so that your submissions get reviewed quickly.

For new Websites, it can take a long time to get indexed at a high PR directory. Since your PR was 0 (or NR), your link would likely be placed on the deepest page of the category since most list from high PR to low.

Anyway, PR normally updates 4 times a year. We just had a PR update, so the next one should be somewhere around the beginning of August.

    Happy Link Building! :)

Does the links of that paid service are all dofollow? You said your backlinks for now are 200 and your site is about 3 months old. Why you got only 200 backlinks for 3 months. You can get for more than 200 backlinks in just a month by doing your own way.

Content is king. Wait for the next update which is roughly 3-6 months away.
