This is for those who get cheques/checks from a foreign country.

I'm from Romania. It takes about 30 days from the moment I take a Google/similar cheque to a local bank.

    BTW... "cheque" or "check"?! :)

    10 days for me.

I'm lucky that my girlfriend is my executive in charge of the account at my bank. She always takes care of my cheques :D

It takes me about a month. A lot actually depends on the originating bank and country.

20 business days for a foreign cheque deposit. Was VERY happy when Google decided to offer alternate foreign currencies for payment :)

Me too dcristo... I need to find a proper bank to cash these cheques in... these delays have caused many of my cheques to be rejected. Wouldn't want to drop tribalfusion because of this. =/

I am also from South Africa .. but it takes me a matter of minutes to cash the cheque :D

My accounts are in good standing with the bank and I have been cashing google cheque for about a year now.

They started off small (a few hundred dollars) and by the time the amounts grew I had established a relatioship and they knew where the cheques came from, so they have no problems cashing bigger amounts.

btw I have had the same account since I was a teen so it over 10 years old, I always use the same branch and Forex Consultant ... and they always tell me should the cheque bounce for some reason they will want their money back :D

but so far so good .. none of the Mamma, Google & LinkWorth cheques have ever bounced :)

So for me .. when I have made an appointment, the whole process take 15 minutes tops.

I've used two banks, BankSA (or St George) and Commonwealth. They both take 20 working days.
