How long does it take to be accepted into the major search engines?

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your website indexed by the main Search Engines ( Google, Bing, Yahoo)?


Another website of mine was indexed within a week but now I have been waiting over a week and the website hasnt been accepted by any Search engine yet?

Is there anything which can help me in speeding up this process?

For your blog indexed by google. you have to post a blog daily.

After you reach more post and do the same .

At the time you get approval.

Sometimes your website needs more than a week to be indexed by major search engines. Have you submitted it to Bing and Yahoo ?

 

As far as I know there is no definite time.
For one of my website it took two weeks (google)
and for another it took nearly one month (google)

 

Hi, have tried some of the tricks available.. Blog, Twitter page, Articles, Linkshares, Comments on Blogs, Keywords, Meta Tags but so far the website doesnt show up on any of the big search engines...

Looking at my awstats I have recieved numerous visits from Googlebots and Yahoo Slurp but nothing seems to be happening..

I got the feeling that there is something wrong with my HTML in terms of meta tags or maybe there is something in there which stops Search engines from indexing my websites, would anyone be able to look at my website HTML code and see if something is wrong with it?

It can take up to two weeks. All my sites I ever made were all indexed within 3 days at the longest. One of them only took under a day. Submit your site to Digg and those places. Ping it as well.

 

In order for your site to be indexed, it must first be crawled. So check your Google Analytics if you have a problem with your site not being crawled. If not perhaps you should beef up your contents. You need more pages so that Google can determine that there is relevance o your website.

 

it takes time, make sure that your website is optimized with some of the good keywords. Usually it take 1 or 2 weeks to get your site indexed.

 

Usually from 1 to 5 days.

 

The reason why I initially wasnt accepted was because of wrong privacy settings in Wordpress, no Sitemap and no proper Robots.txt.

Have now created/changed all of those and have created a Blog, Twitter page, Articles, Youtube account and currently ranking page one for some keywords related to my product.

Will now start doing some extensive Social bookmarking in order to get a more solid pagerank.

Have also found out that Google Webmaster tools is a must have to do some proper SEO work.

One weird thing is that my Webmaster account shows that there are 0 backlinks to my website while my website url shows up on different directories, Blogs, Forums etc which all can be found while searching on Google, anyone knows how thats possible?

 

Depends on how you carry out your seo process. More backlinks located at pages highly frequently by crawlers will mean it will get indexed faster.

 

I'll you my situation, about 4 days ago i started a proxy site, now i never even added the URL to any submitters, but my site is indexed and appearing in google.

So it really just depends, there is no minimal amount of time it takes to get indexed, but fresh content will be the key to a speddier indexing.
