I have a new site and have submited a google sitemaps and have a link on a PR 4 page and a dozen other lesser pages, and its been about 2 weeks and it is still not showing up in the google indexes. About how long did it take for google to index your site?

There is no set time... It took 1 month for one site I was trying to get listed, but then as soon as that one got listed, I linked it to another new page and it was in the index the next day

maybe your site isn't google-friendly. My blog was indexed in first day. Try to get more backlinks

Subdomain should not be a problem if you have good backlinks. If it is a blog then try submitting a post to social bookmarking sites, it works for me ;)

I don't agree with you skrachs for your comment on Google friendliness of the site from the very first day as my websites are getting cached without any pages on the site except the UNDER CONSTRUCTION IMAGE and of course no backlinks.

So can u tell me how can my websites get cached in Google within a week ??

Make one rss.xml file and submit it to various RSS feeds directories, Your site will be cached in less than 10 days.

    Reference for RSS.XML file >> http://www.commodityrentals.com/rss.xml

    best of luck !!

Hi there , 1 link, even on a pr4 page is not enough

You really need to have a proper link building campaign going
