I've been searching around and it says normally 30minutes to 11 hours and that was posted around 2006-07 I think... Mines been over that, more like 24 hours and hasn't been indexed How long does it take these days? Cheers
Not so long, but the problem is that your Squidoo lens will be buried down down search results. Squidoo is not so good as it was before. Spammers have spoiled it, so it is no longer Google friendly. It takes so much SEO to rank well with a Squidoo lens.
Submit your Squidoo lens to social bookmarking sites and it will be indexed within a few hours. waxman1000 made a valid point, if I were you I'd move to hubpages. Or if you have a blog, re-write your lens, post it on your blog and submit your blog post to social bookmarking sites.
Cheers, which is the best place to post your stuff these days then? If I'm going to spend half a day coming up with a nice page you really want it out there don't you
I recently created some lenses, and they were indexed in about 2 or 3 days. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't bad. Get your lens indexed by building some backlinks to it (blogs, social bookmarks, directories, etc), and ping the blogosphere.
If you want it indexed, then try socially book marking the heck out of it, but if you want it to have good ranking then you'll have to build backlinks to it like anything else. I only use squidoo as a linking platform for my main site.
Hubpages is much better from what I've been seen on the forums, I use it alot for learning from peoples articles
backlinks help alot in speeding up indexing. Mine got it within24-48hrs! Build your lens with proper SEO and unique content.
Well.. I you produce over 1,000 backlinks within an hour from highly crawled websites. Then, there's a high possibility that you will get indexed fast.
After creating some cool lens if you submit it on digg and reddit then they get indexed in just few hours . Both sites are very helpful in indexing work .
Social bookmarks and Pings will do the trick.........I've gotten several of my lenses indexed within 24 hours like that .. some even get indexed in a few minutes....
