How long does it take google to ban a site - worried

I realised i accidently broke a fundamental rule by google and had white text over a white background, i didnt realise at first because the text was over a red header image but realised google doesnt recognise the custom image uploaded over my default (white template). In the time it took for me to remove the white text i noticed google had indexed the changes made to my site in that time period. Does anyone know how long it would take to review a website that is going to be banned or is it instantaneous? and would anyone recommend me contacting google to tell them what happened? Is contacting google even possible?

    thank you

Even if Google did ban your site you could log into Google Webmaster Center and send a message explaining your situation... I am glad that you caught the error, now correct it and you will be fine... Good luck!

As long as you correct the problem (the breach of google webmaster guidelines), you can ask for a re-inclusion request if they have banned your site.

don't worry, google don't like sites with hidden text, there will be some drop in ranking
