    Brand, Processor, ram et
    hardly it would take 8 to 15 sec.

    apple takes 10 to 15 secs if its lepord OS. and xp also the same. VIsta and windows 7 take a longer time like 30 to 40 secs.

    Are you talking about starting up from a hard shut down, or a "wake up scenario" no one's computer cold boots in 15-30 seconds...but that is about what mine does coming back from hibernation.
