How long does it take for your computer to shutdown ?

    3 hours, are you serious. I think you need to figure out what windows software you are using. Also do you have lot of files and folders on your desktop ?

    Generally my pc takes 8-9 seconds to shut down! because i randomly close each window of all programs then do shut down doing this way virtual memory of overall systems gets down so it consumes less time to shut down

    Or about 10-15 minutes if I let my automated "backup on shutdown" profiles execute, which I generally do.

    take less than 1 mins..if it takes you 2-3mins, something is not right with the pc, it's time to troubleshoot or call the pc doctor

    I have built my own custom pc, mine takes around 8 secs to shutdown on average, it does depend on your hardware and software.
    My specs
    CPU = Intel core 2 Quad Q8300 @2.5GHz
    RAM = 4GB
    GPU = NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT
