I feel like this must be a common question but I cannot find the answer so I apologize in advance. How long does it take for your ads to start showing up?
It's been 45 minutes for me, when my hover the mouse over a keyword on adwords it tells me that the keyword is paused "all text ads in this ad group are paused". I keep on unpausing them but nothing happends. ARGH
There's a few things here. If it's a keyword campaign, then the first thing you need to go in to your adgroup, make sure your ads is "Active" Then after that you can go to Keyword Tab, there's a little magnifying glass next to each keyword, hover your mouse over there, you can see whether your ads is showing or not, and your quality score.
You should be up and running on the search network within 30 minutes - with in 12-24 hours on the content network.
The only way to know is to search for your term (because the stats in Google aren't updated that frequently). But for me it's about 10 minutes for regular search ads and around 48 hours max for content network.. it's always different, always different... DIFFERENT NOTE: I'm listening to Michael Cheney (Super Private Show 50 people) and he is saying that YOU know 99% more than all internet surfers about internet marketing and can easily sell the most basic ideas... content = traffic.. go create content it creates traffic! - Chris
it takes less than 30 minutes for your ad to be displayed unless you are in a grey marketing area, such as sex toys. Then you have to go through review. Also, if you are expecting your keyword to show up on the front page for highly competitive terms, thing again... Make sure your initial bid is higher than normal, then back off the bid over time
