How long does it take for your ads to be active?

I justed started out with Adwords and created a new campaign yesterday. My campaign status is now active, but I'm unable to see my ads being displayed. I'm curious to know how long it takes for the ads to be displayed. Do they need to be reviewed before running?

I usually start getting clicks within 10 minutes or so.

Many ads do need a manual review before they become active and it can take up to 3 days.

My campaigns start generating impressions/clicks immediately. You should try contacting them if your account is new and not working.

What you might want to do is check out how much competition there is. Sometimes, if you are ranked too low, there is too much competition, and you need to either raise your bid price (not recommended if it will be unprofitable) or find other keywords with less competition
