Not sure about MSN but Google, its usually every 6 months (sometimes earlier or later)
You probably wont receive much of a traffic boost from MSN anyways...

I'm done with Google and I know for a fact that I can get thousands of hits per day from Msn.
I was getting 1000+ visits per day from msn/live a few months ago up until I stopped seoing my sites.

The last new site (4 weeks old now) was indexed by Google within 72 h but still not ranking well. On MSN it was indexed in 24 h an ranking well after about a week!

Average traffic share for my sites: Google 70% MSN 10% Yahoo 7%

Depends on your niche. MSN is a ghost town for all non-entertainment related niches. However, if you're into celebrities and other unimportant things, MSN seems to bring a good share of traffic.

Oops, thought you meant when MSN update the number of links pointing to your site (ie. link:)

I have only gotten 23 visitors from MSN, there is no point making your ste for MSN, focus on Google, or Yahoo..

SudoAptitude you're giving bad advice all over this forum. Just because you personally have only had 23 visitors from MSN, it doesn't mean that it's not a good source of traffic. When there are only 3 big search engines, can you afford to ignore one of the top 3? Even if MSN only gives a website 5-10% of its traffic, that 5-10% could produce some big sales. In the past I read somewhere that MSN visitors are among the best converting customers.
