    Hi,

I recently added meta descriptions to all my articles in joomla. Its been around month now and every time I check on google site:flipstylepro.com it still has not updated yet. If you look at all my meta descriptions in google they are all the same still. I was wondering if anyone knows how long it usually takes for it change.

It depends on how often Google crawls your site - which is usually determined by how important your site is considered (pr gives a ROUGH idea) and how often Google has noticed changes in the past. From memory, the site map file does enable you to say how often each page changes - but am not sure how much attention google pays to this.

I checked my sitemap settings. Change frequency is on daily and priority is on .5 is that normal or should it be on something else?

Its all depend on the information available on that web page when the search engines crawler parse out that specific web page to index out the updated meta tags from the web page.

Just continue your link building method, it may take some time before the old cache will be replaced by the updated one.

With Google now it can take an extraordinary amount of time for the cache to clear

Build some proper backlinks so that your site will be found sooner and faster - rather than never
    Articles can help

Give some time for crawlers to index your page...Till google or yahoo catch the page the meta tags or anything will be indexed...
so even if you are changing the tags give some time for bots to spider and crawl the webpage...
