How long does it take for google to recognize my site?

I have been doing SEO for 10 years now and it seems like a lot has changed in the last year. I recently created a website for my wife's hair salon and still after about a years worth of work nothing. So my questions is how long does it take for google to recognize my site?

I have placed one H1 Tag, one H2 tag, one H3 Tag, with just the fine toned keywords for her site: hair salon, hair salons, hair salon in Virginia beach and hair salons in Virginia beach. This is the only nitch market I am looking for in her business.

Also made sure to keep every description tag different on each individual page.
- meta keywords to minimum
- picture's have alt tag image names (I may have overdone it here)
- titles for each link
- created blog
- utilized business listings such as yelp, yahoo, mapquest and many others.

So am I missing something?

My guess is there looking for "driven traffic" to the site... But I have close to 100 visits per day. And only a 3rd of it is social media driven.

Can someone help me figure out what is wrong or if I am completely missing something?

Also I have taken into consideration that her site was just a front page for almost a year before I finished it. But I did not send a sitemap to Google or Bing until it was done.

Google still caches your site as the front page which was there for the initial year. Did you submit the new page via Google Webmaster Tools?
Your Slideshow has far too many keywords as well. Looks like keyword spamming to me. Did you do any dodgy linkbuilding on the site?

 

Do not lose your patience and keep your work hard.You should must use SMO for getting more Traffic for your website Like twitter,Facebook,StumbleUpon etc.Submit unique article on high Pr article website with your targeted keyword.You will must get results after doing this.
