How long does it take adsense to update?

Hey,

I have just used my humor site as a template to make a new site, however the adsense ads that are showing are still humor related (even though the new site has nothing to do with humor).

I have checked all through the code to make sure there is still no humor references so its not that.

Anyway is it just a case of time before adsense starts showing some related ads?

 

It can take up to 48 hrs iv been told. You can try placement targeting, which takes the same amount of time to kick in...

Also try your website with and without www infront, sometimes they display different results. You would need to choose which one you want to use, and put the redirect in your htaccess file.

 

I've had adsense bots look at a page within a few hours of adding it.

 

it doesn;t take more than an hour or 2 if your site is frequently visited by google bot. if not, then a little longer.

 

I have had it take 2 hours and one site took 2 days. Just wait it will update.

 

The ads are usually updated within 24 hours

 

If you keep updating your website on a regular basis, then the ads should be updated in couple of hours, else it may take hours
