How long does Google take to verify after Malware detected and removed?

Discussion in 'Google' started by Surminga, Mar 5, 2012.

Hello guys, I've had my Blog affected by Malware - no idea what the cause was but my host has sorted it out and I have put in a request to be checked and put back into Google, would just like to know if anyone's had any experience lately or previously on if this will affect my site, what I can do to quickly rectify and stay safe and the time Google took to allow you back as OK site health?

    Cheers

I believe it takes a while, Google will have to re-crawl all your pages and determine that everything was clean and fixed. You can also send a reconsideration request detailing the things you fixed and that now your website is malware free.

For my site it took around 3 days before they verified that there was no more malware. Use the webmaster tool and goto Diagnostics > malware and it should let you request a re-scan.

Once you have removed the Malware, all you need to do is ping the search engine once again and your website will be crawled again.

Typically when I clean up a clients site and ask for re-evaluation through my webmaster account, they have it done in 24-48 hours.
